End of Life & Palliative Care
It is important to recognise that excellent supportive, palliative and end of life care, which meets the needs of both the person who is being cared for and family members, friends and supporters, can be delivered in many different settings. The delivery of high quality care can also be a major source of job satisfaction to health and social care professionals.
To this end the Network, in conjunction, with its partner organisations is fully committed to extending this level of care from the minority of patients (mainly those with cancer) who currently come into contact with hospices and specialist palliative care services, to all people who are approaching the end of life in a variety of ways and locations which reflect individual preferences and need.
In this section you will find information relating to Palliative and End of Life Care.
