Network Pharmacy Group
The ASWCS Pharmacy Group works with Trusts to ensure compliance with the National Cancer Measures for pharmacy and chemotherapy services. It responds to regional and national initiatives and guidance as they are made available under direction from the Network and co-ordinates policies agreed by the Network Site Specialist Groups for the preparation of chemotherapy regimes across the Network.
The Group works with other members of the chemotherapy team to agree Network standards, e.g. training, documentation, treatment of complications, protocols, education and provides representation on the ASWCS Research Network Steering Group. It also acts as an information and education forum for ASWCS oncology pharmacy teams.
